The Central Mechanical Engineering Research Institute (also known as CSIR-CMERI Durgapur or CMERI Durgapur) is a public engineering research and development institution in Durgapur, West Bengal, India. It is a constituent laboratory of the Indian Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR). This institute is the only national-level research institute in the field of mechanical engineering in India.

Age Of Relaxation :
- The upper age limit is relaxable up to 05 years for SC/ST and 03 years for OBC as per Government of India orders in force only in those cases where the post are reserved for respective categories, on production of relevant certificate in the prescribed format signed by the specified authority.
Application Fees For CSIR Recruitment 2021 :
- A candidate should pay 100/- which is Non – refundable.
Qualification :
- ME/M. Tech. or equivalent in Material Science & Engineering /Chemical Engineering with BE/ B. Tech. in Material Science &Engineering / Chemical Engineering or M.Sc. in Chemical Sciences for Scientist posts.
- M.E./M. Tech or equivalent in Electrical/ Electronics & Control /Instrumentation & Control/ Electronics &Instrumentation Advanced Electronic Systems / Power Electronics with BE/ B.Tech in Electrical/Electronics&Communication/Instrumentation Engineering For Senior Scientist posts.
Selection Procedure :
- On the basis of higher educational qualifications than the minimum prescribed in the Notification.
- On the basis of more experience in the relevant field than the minimum prescribed in the Notification.
- By holding a written test.
- Any other methodology as deemed fit by Screening Committee.
How to Apply CSIR Vacancy 2021:
Eligible candidates are required to apply ONLINE through our official website No other mode of application will be considered.
- Candidates are required to fill up and complete all the columns of the online application form without skipping any field. In case a candidate does not wish to fill up a particular column, he / she should mention ‘Nil’ against that field.
- Online Application will be available on CSIR-CMERI website (Closes on 20.09.2021 at 05.00 p.m.) It is mandatory to take the print out of the successfully submitted online application form, sign the same and attach the self attested mandatory documents {As mentioned in Sl No 6, as applicable}. The print out of the application along with the relevant documents must reach CSIR-CMERI on or before 30.09.2021
- The print out of the successfully submitted online Application duly signed must be accompanied by self attested copies of the certificates, mark sheets, testimonials in support of age, education qualifications, experience and caste certificate, if applicable, (as mentioned in Sl No 6 below) together with E-RECEIPT of the Application fees. After this process,all the documents should submit to the following address.
