This high court was established on 1 May 1960 as a result of the bifurcation of the former State of Bombay into two States of Maharashtra and Gujarat. The High Court started functioning near Akashwani, Navrangpura, Ahmedabad. The High Court has later shifted to the new building at Sarkhej – Gandhinagar Highway, Sola, Ahmedabad, Gujarat-380060, from 16 January 1999.

Age Limit :
A Candidate applying to the post, shall not be less than 18 years and not more than 35 years of age, as on the last date for submitting

Scheme of Examination :
- The Competitive Examinations will be conducted at Ahmedabad or at the Centre(s) as decided by the High Court and Candidates shall have to appear at their own cost in the respective Tests
Elimination Test (Objective Type – MCQs) [100 Marks]
Computer-Aided Test (100 Marks )
Selection Procedure :
- The Select List & Wait List will be prepared on the basis of Marks obtained by the Candidates in the Computer Aided Test.
- For being eligible to be included in the Select List/Wait List, a Candidate shall have to secure minimum 40% Marks in the Computer Aided Test.
- The Wait List would not consist of more than 20% of the categorywise Notified Vacancies and shall be operated during the validity period of the Select List/Wait List.
- The Select List/Wait List shall remain in force for a period of 2 (Two) Years, from the date of its publication or until the publication of fresh List(s), whichever is earlier. However, if the vacancies in a particular year are not substantially higher than the number of Candidates remaining in the existing Select List / Wait List, the period of such Select List / Wait List may be extended by the High Court not exceeding One Year, so as to make appointment against such vacancies from the said Select List / Wait List.
- Any Candidate who does not accept the offer of appointment within timelimit, shall lose his/her right for appointment and the High Court shall operate the Select List / Wait List, as the case may be.
- The High Court reserves the right to adopt appropriate method of shortlisting the Candidates at any stage.
- The Select List / Wait List will be published on High Court website.
How to Apply For High Court of Gujarat Recruitment:
Candidates must ensure to go through the notification and instructions thoroughly and understood well before registering themselves for applying online. In case of any duplicate Registration is found by altering the basic details like the change of father name, change of Date of Birth, Applying for one Registration with UR category and another registration, etc; will be treated as duplicate registration. all the candidatures relating to all such duplicate Registration and all such registrations will be deleted for consideration. Candidates need not submit any physical application. It should also be noted that any application is physically sent stating that the application could not be uploaded, it will not be processed.
